Baltimore Sun iPhone Mobile App
Project Objective: Create graphics for the first Baltimore Sun app so users can easily use and navigate the app to get new tailored to them.
Process: Since mobile apps were fairly new at this time, it was a learning curve for all of us in how we wanted to present this info to our users. We wanted to have some connection to the printed version of the newspaper, but also present the user with a digital experience that stands on its own and had other advantages over the print version such as bookmarking favorite sections and articles and implementing social media sharing tools.
Result: An easy to navigate app so users can quickly access the news and info they want to on demand. The news is sorted into sections much like a printed newspaper so there is some consistency in the experience. The user can also arrange the sections in their 'favorites' to access their favorite sections and articles with 1 tap.
